Science Technician

This is a full-time, long-term position with a competitive salary range based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons, ensuring all apparatus is ready for use.
Assist teaching staff during practical science lessons and demonstrations.
Maintain an organised and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Manage the inventory of lab equipment and chemicals, placing orders as needed.
Support in the development and implementation of new practical activities and experiments.
Provide technical support and guidance to both staff and students during practical sessions.
Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with school policies and legal requirements.Requirements:

A passion for science and education.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Previous experience as a science technician is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
