The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Drama Teacher to join our thriving Performing Arts department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher (ECT) with a passion for theatre and education. The successful candidate will teach Drama across Key Stages 3 to 5, fostering a love for the performing arts, and contributing to the wider cultural life of the school through extra-curricular activities and productions.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Drama lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Inspire and motivate students to develop their performance skills and appreciation for theatre
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high standards of achievement
Organise and contribute to school productions, drama clubs, and other extra-curricular activities
Collaborate with colleagues within the Performing Arts department and across the school
Uphold the Christian ethos and values of Bishop Ramsey School
About You:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related subject
Passionate about Drama and the performing arts with strong subject knowledge
Experience teaching Drama at Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally 5 (GCSE and A-Level)
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to supporting the personal development and well-being of students
Ability to engage students in extra-curricular drama activities and productions
