Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance? We are seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant - Investments to join our team! You will assist with accounting and reporting activities associated with Investment Assets and exchange rate impact, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of underlying data. Primary Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:? 

• Delivery of accurate and reliable financial information for completion of statutory / entity and group reporting, working in conjunction with Finance Operations 

• Production and analysis of investment assets data to support regulatory submissions and board and conduct review of analysis and reconciliations

• Knowledge of Investment assets disclosures under Solvency II, Lloyds of London, UK GAAP and IFRS for external reporting

• Ensure that financial data and reports comply with the appropriate management, statutory and regulatory requirements, plus QBE Group accounting guidance and best practice guidelines 

• Represent Financial Reporting function in (and contribute to) projects / change programmes, impacting financial reporting activities, presentations as necessary 

• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external auditors, to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations. 

• Ability to work and share Investment/FX knowledge alongside Stakeholders, Directors, CFO and the Board 

About you:

• Part/Qualified accountant (for example ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent or have relevant years of working experience 

• Have an in depth understanding of best-practice accounting (in an insurance environment preferred, although strong candidates from other parts of financial services industry will be considered) 

• Experience of use of latest relevant accounting software and tools 

• Excellent analysis and data modelling skills

• Attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective communication at all levels within the organisation 

• Be confident building controls into processes 

Preferred Knowledge

• Thorough understanding of best practice accounting

• Good knowledge of relevant current statutory, legal and regulatory accounting requirements

• Excellent Knowledge of relevant accounting Software and tools
