Job Title: Film and Media Teacher

Location: Mayfair, London

Employment Type: Full-Time (4 days a week)

Salary: £40,000 pro rata actual (Negotaible dependent on experience)

Start Date: September or January

MLK Education Search are seeking to appoint an experienced Media and Film Studies Teacher for a renowned independent sixth form college located in the heart of Mayfair, London. They are dedicated to providing an exceptional education that prepares students for top universities and successful careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality A-level Film and Media courses, inspiring and engaging students, and contributing to the overall academic excellence of our college.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Film and Media at A-level.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and achievement.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in Film and Media education and incorporate them into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
• Participate in college events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Film, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience in teaching Film and Media at A-level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Film and Media.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational trends.
