About the opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will:

* Assisting the Commercial Manager in overseeing/mentoring the Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QS', ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency, whilst looking at the company objectives.

* Provide commercial leadership and guidance on projects to ensure cost-effective delivery within budget.

* Prepare and analyse cost reports, offering regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.

* Implement cost control and value management strategies.

* Prepare monthly forecasts, CVRs, and Profit & Loss statements.

* Oversee the commercial aspects of projects.

* Manage cash flow effectively.

* Handle subcontractor payments.

* Offer expertise on contractual issues.

About the benefits and rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £60k DOE plus Car Allowance. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.

About the requirements:

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

* Good knowledge of building regulations (predominantly NHBC), technical knowledge, CDM & codes of practice e.g. HS

* GCSE Grade C/4+ in English & Maths

* Committed to inclusion and diversity

* Ability to work on own as well as part of a team

* Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines

* IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems

* Full UK driving licence
