Senior Design Engineer

* Basic Salary: £45,000 to £55,000

Bespoke equipment used in process equipment around the world, this is a chance to take a lead role in bringing tailored customer requirements to life and leading projects from start to finish. You'll be working with very high-spec hardware, and each one is custom-made per order. As part of a multi-discipline team, and with everything manufactured in house you can see your designs right through to the end-product.

Here you'll be using SolidWorks, though experience of any 3D CAD package is fine, and you'll be creating 3D models, detail components drawings as well as assembly drawings.

The Candidate: Mechanical Design Engineer

The ideal candidate will be a proactive person who looks for solutions to problems, and will have most of the following skills and experience:

* 5+ years' experience in mechanical design in a role such as Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, Mechanical Engineer

* Chemical engineering or pharmaceutical processing experience would be an advantage

* A liquid movement or processing background

* Experience using SolidWorks, Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo or a similar package.

* Ability to think of your feet.

* Experience with fluid dynamics or designing pressure vessels.

* Confident in voicing your opinions and ideas, both within the team and to other departments
