Tay Recruitment are pleased to have been instructed by an established independently owned developer to find a permanent Contracts Manager to join their construction operational team.
This business based in South Wales currently has estimated sales of over £Million with ambitions to grow onto this in the next few years. They are a well-run contractor that is cash rich and incorporate family values and work with a collaborative forward-thinking attitude.
The role
As a Contracts Manager, you will be based within Devon & Cornwall with one day a month based at Head Office (South Wales) and will have a responsibility for up to 5 projects depending on value throughout the Southwest region. You will coordinate the design and manage the developers on your allocated projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintaining construction budgets on site without compromise to H&S, quality, or customer service
* Develop and build strong relationships with key external stakeholders and internal reports.
* Lead a culture of quality to ensure our status as a '5 Star Builder' is maintained.
* Ensure industry best practices are implemented across the team, whilst collaborating with external parties such as the NHBC to create better and safer ways of working
REQUIREMENTS:
* Sufficient experience of Project / Contracts management within the house building industry
* Strong people management experience, and able to demonstrate leadership.
* Excellent commercial acumen, especially around budgeting & forecasting
* Exceptional planning, organising and prioritising skills.
