About the Role: We're seeking a talented engineer with a strong Java background and proven expertise in designing and developing sophisticated J2EE applications and services. You'll work closely with our in-house and contract teams on both architecture and design, helping us shape the future of digital finance.

Our ideal candidate will have:

Hands-on experience with internal and external teams, driving impactful projects from concept through to implementation.
Extensive knowledge of Java and J2EE, enabling you to provide creative solutions for complex payment applications.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Background in the payments industry (preferred), with a deep understanding of secure, reliable, and scalable payment solutions.The Tech:

Experience in AWS to architect and maintain cloud-based solutions effectively.
Hands-on expertise in designing, building, and testing Java EE applications.
Message broker experience with technologies such as Kafka to facilitate seamless communication between services.
Microservice architecture knowledge, including containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
In-depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks, particularly JSF and Spring MVC.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles to build maintainable and scalable software.
Experience working with internal and external teams, driving impactful projects from concept through to implementation.Location: Primarily based in our London (City) office, with opportunities for remote work depending on project requirements.
