About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Camden, London. This full-time role involves working closely with a child who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), supporting their learning and emotional development in a classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to a child with ASD, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop social and emotional skills.
Implement and follow individualised learning plans, providing tailored support in various subjects.
Promote positive behaviour and communication, using strategies appropriate for the child's needs.
Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive lessons and activities.
Help with the child's personal care, if required, and ensure their well-being throughout the school day.
Work collaboratively with other staff members, including SENCO, to create an inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and record the child's progress, and provide feedback to the teacher and parents as needed.Key Requirements:

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with ASD.
Patience, understanding, and a positive approach to working with children with additional learning needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to supporting the child's social, emotional, and academic development.
A DBS check will be required (if not already held).Desirable:

A qualification or training in working with children with ASD or other special needs (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Team Teach, or similar).
