Supplier Quality Engineer - Precision Engineering

THE ROLE

As Supplier Quality Engineer you will be in a semi-autonomous role and will be responsible for:

* Working with Suppliers on New Product Introduction and engineering change using PPAP methodology

* Professionalising the approach to managing supplier quality with regular supplier visits, supplier score cards and implementing supplier development programmes

* Auditing both new and existing suppliers in-line with ISO9001:2015 standards

* Working cross-functionally with other departments in the business to develop supplier relationships

* Working closely with suppliers to develop their processes, manufacturing capabilities and ability to cope with design change

* Ensuring all Supplier Quality issues are captured and reported promptly and in a professional manner

THE PERSON

You will be an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer ideally from an automotive industry background, although other regulated industries such as aerospace and oil & gas would also be suitable.

This role is also suited to someone who can work in a structured and controlled manner as cross-functional communication is critical to the success of this role.

Finally, knowledge of PPAP methodology is essential in this role.
