Shifts: 2-shift system (Mornings/Afternoons) - Monday to FridayAbout the Role:We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Biased Leading Hand/Supervisor to join our team, ensuring the efficient maintenance and preparation of locomotives. This role requires a hands-on approach, with 80% of your time spent on the shop floor conducting fitness to run checks, brake testing, and fuel point preparation, while 20% will be focused on supervision and delivering key performance indicators (KPIs).Key Responsibilities:? Perform fitness to run, brake testing, and fuel point preparation on locomotives.? Lead and supervise a team, ensuring high standards of work and safety compliance.? Oversee and deliver the 5 main KPIs to drive performance and efficiency.? Support and mentor team members, ensuring best practices and high-quality output.? Maintain accurate records and ensure all work is completed to industry standards.What We're Looking For:?? Strong mechanical background, ideally within the rail industry.?? Experience in locomotive maintenance, including brake systems and fuel preparation.?? Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team.??
