Senior Registered Manager
Location: Halifax
Salary: £65,000- £73,000
Purpose of the Role: The Senior Registered Manager will support the delivery of high-quality care and shape the culture in line with Client' mission, vision, and values. This role includes holding registration for one service and additional responsibilities reviewed every six months.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Client services as needed.
- Represent the organization at external events.
- Deputize for the Operations Director when required.
- Contribute to working groups and practice development.
- Provide support and induction to newly appointed Managers.
- Travel and overnight stays as needed.
- Contribute to the strategic plan development.
- Support evidence-based practice and outcomes measurement.
- Assist in recruitment and marketing campaigns.
- Provide coaching and mentoring.
- Implement new systems and structures.
- Participate in the Senior Management on-call rota.
Home Management:
- Manage a Residential Home in line with legislation, policies, and the Statement of Purpose.
- Develop and implement a high-quality service plan.
- Coordinate and monitor casework and administrative functions.
- Assess the needs of children and young people, preparing development plans.
- Recruit, vet, interview, and induct new staff.
- Contribute to staff training and development programs.
- Conduct investigatory hearings and disciplinary processes.
- Develop relationships with staff, young people, and stakeholders.
- Chair meetings, reviews, and discussions.
- Participate in corporate and management activities.
- Ensure professional ethics and behavior among staff.
- Manage, appraise, supervise, and support residential staff.
- Organize duty rotas to meet young people's needs.
- Safeguard and promote individual rights and quality care.
- Promote therapeutic relationships between staff, young people, and families.
- Participate in the on-call system.
- Maintain the physical state of the building and address repair/maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure safe working practices in line with Health and Safety legislation.

Person Specification:Education and Qualifications:
- Essential: DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 5 in Working with Young People/Management or willingness to work towards it.
- Desirable: Registered Managers’ Award, Relevant Degree, Nursing Qualification.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Essential: Significant senior-level experience in a Children’s Home, reasoning, numeracy, and literacy skills.
- Desirable: Senior-level experience in social care/health, knowledge of manpower planning, budgetary management, and National Care Standards Inspections.
Skills and Abilities:
- Essential: Ability to work with colleagues and agencies, knowledge of the Children’s Act, Child Protection Issues, Children’s Homes procedures, and National Care Standards.
- Desirable: Ability to develop professional growth in others, give presentations, and work under pressure.
