QHSE ManagerOur client is a specialist engineering and fabrication business, delivering high-quality, high-specification steelwork solutions for several leading blue-chip organisations. They offer a comprehensive range of products and services, and they are proud of their long-standing reputation for exceptional quality, service and reliability.Following a period of growth and development they are seeking a high-performing QHSE Manager to own their QHSE strategy over the next period of growth. They have an extensive range of facilities on-site, meaning they have total control over quality, delivery and lead times.This is a great opportunity to mould and shape the QHSE function of a growing business, with the full support of the senior leadership team to implement best practice and streamline processes across the organisation.Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOELocation: Leeds, on-siteWhat you'll need:
- Experience designing, deploying and operating UKAS ISO9001 Quality Management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience with EN1090 standards, knowledge of HSE requirements and principles, and the ability to implement safe working practices.
- Capability to adapt to changing circumstances, excellent problem solving and innovation skills and ability to plan and organise independently.
- Ability to communicate and present to a range of audiences, interpret policies and legislation and apply a pragmatic approach to solutions.
- Proven history of driving innovation and managing the change process.
- Effective communication skills, with gravitas when influencing groups and teams.
It would also be advantageous to have:
- Experience within a welding or metal fabrication business.
- Experience in Health & Safety management (IOSH, ISO45001).
- Experience in Environment & Sustainability (ISO14001).
- Previous management experience.
What you'll be doing:
- Take responsibility for QHSE across the business, establish and maintain all company accreditations and drive continuous improvement, keeping QHSE at the heart of the business.
- Establish and maintain a robust quality control framework, overseeing inspection processes and conducting internal quality audits.
- Define the organisation's QHSE policies and objectives in collaboration with senior management and communicate these objectives throughout the organisation.
- Record and investigate all accidents and near misses and identify potential QHSE risks.
- Analyse QHSE data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide training to employees on standards, procedures, and best practice to ensure a full understanding of quality requirements.
- Play an active role within the company's senior leadership team, driving continuous improvement and working with various departments to resolve quality related issues.
