JOB- Tooling ManagerLOCATION- LittlehamptonTERM- PermanentSALARY- £45,000 to £55,000 per annum (plus benefits)Premier Engineering is seeking a Tooling Manager to join a leading manufacturing company based in Littlehampton. This role will involve overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of tooling for production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.The Tooling Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
• Proven experience in tooling design, development, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of injection molding, die-casting, or precision machining processes
• Proficiency in CAD software for tooling design (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Experience with toolroom management, including budgeting and resource allocation
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lead and develop a team of tooling engineers and technicians
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

The Tooling Manager role will involve:

• Managing the design, manufacture, and maintenance of tooling for production
• Leading a team of tooling engineers and technicians to ensure operational efficiency
• Working closely with design and production teams to optimize tooling performance
