Are you a passionate and dedicated Psychology Graduate eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Look no further! GSL Education are seeking to appoint Psychology Graduate at an outstanding School in Stockport who are looking for flexible work. Your role will be to work in either one school on a longer-term/permanent basis, and you may work in various schools. As a Psychology Graduate, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students.

This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced educators, gain valuable classroom experience, and make a real difference in the lives of our students. The school has great facilities & close to public transport, the school's focus is to give a nurturing approach to learning whilst making learning fun. This friendly school currently has an Ofsted report rated 'Good'. The role is due to start September 2024 for the right individual.

This is a great way to get experience if you are seeking a career within education. As a Psychology Graduate you will be working within the class to support the teacher with their lessons, you will be working alongside a team of support staff. 

As a Psychology Graduate supporting young people with SEN, you will:

Work closely with SEN coordinators, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement individualised support plans
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them overcome academic, social, and emotional challenges
Utilise your psychological expertise to assess students' needs and progress, and adjust interventions accordingly
Collaborate with families to ensure consistent support and to foster a holistic approach to each child's development
Assist in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being and success of all students
The Role:

Location: Stockport
Salary: £20000- £25000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full Time
Qualifications and Requirements:

A degree in Psychology (BSc, MSc, or equivalent)
A genuine passion for working with young people and a strong commitment to supporting those with SEN
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience in an educational or care setting is desirable but not essential
