About the role:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at our school, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of our students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver lessons, as well as provide targeted support to small groups and individual students. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining our high standards of academic excellence and nurturing the growth of each child, both academically and socially. This role will also involve covering classes in the absence of the teacher, supporting school initiatives, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of students, including those with additional needs, helping to ensure that each child reaches their full potential.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a primary setting.
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in KS1 and KS2.
• Take responsibility for teaching classes when required.
• Assist in assessing and tracking students' progress.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement school-wide initiatives.
• Help manage the classroom environment and maintain a positive, nurturing atmosphere.
