£89.38 - £100 per day
Monday to Friday (Full-time and Part-time positions available)
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (No weekends!)
Start date: April 2025

We are thrilled to partner with a well-regarded Secondary school in Newport, which is looking for passionate individuals to provide support for students aged 11 to 16 with a range of learning needs. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, your role will be to assist students both academically and personally, in accordance with their individual development plans. These plans will be provided by the school after their assessment process, helping guide you in delivering the best possible support. You will assist both inside and outside the classroom, with a particular focus on sensory and practical lessons that are key to the students' learning journey.

A positive, supportive attitude and the ability to encourage independence will be crucial in developing strong, trusting relationships with students and ensuring they engage positively with their education. You will receive comprehensive training from both the school and Teaching Personnel, giving you the tools to feel confident and empowered in your role.

The ability to commute to Newport between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
