Their dedicated team is passionate about empowering industry leaders, policy makers, and the public with up-to-date insights on energy transitions, renewable technologies, and sustainability. We are now seeking a talented and driven Deputy Energy Editor to join the team and expand coverage on one of the world’s most critical industries.

As the Deputy Energy Editor, you will be responsible for overseeing the energy-related content strategy. You’ll ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely, and accurate news, reports, and features on a wide range of energy topics. You will collaborate with a team of writers and analysts, guiding the editorial process from idea generation to final publication. This role requires a keen understanding of the energy sector, excellent editorial skills, and a passion for delivering impactful journalism.

The role:-

  • Producing in-depth and timely energy news, features, and analysis.
  • Stay updated on global energy trends, policies, and technologies, with a focus on renewables, fossil fuels, and emerging innovations.
  • Assign, review, and edit articles from writers, ensuring content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with our editorial standards.
  • Develop relationships with industry experts, analysts, and stakeholders to enhance the quality of our reporting.
  • Work closely with the research, data, and multimedia teams to integrate visual data and graphics into articles.
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and manage editorial calendars for online and print publications.
  • Assist in growing our audience by identifying new content opportunities and optimizing SEO strategies.
  • Represent our client at industry events

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an editor or journalist, preferably within the energy or environmental sector.
  • Strong knowledge of energy markets, renewable energy, sustainability, and/or energy policy.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with SEO, digital media, and social media platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
