Clearpath Recruitment are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager for our client in Battlesbridge, Essex to start asap.

The successful candidate will oversee the interpretation, management, and enforcement of

both new and existing contracts for their sprinkler systems, collaborating with Project Managers and Estimators.

General Information and Skills Required

* 50-60k per annum depending on experience.

* Previous experience in a similar role within construction management and/or M&E/sprinkler Works.

* Contract understanding, interpretation, and negotiation.

* Proficient understanding of legal matters (JCT's / NECs) and the Construction Act.

* Ability to clearly and professionally negotiate matters to reach the desired outcome.

* A high level of interpersonal skills both written and verbal.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

* Detail oriented

Job Details

* Develop and implement effective commercial strategies aligned with the organisation's goals.

* Define and/or advise Directors on commercial strategy.

* Analyse and manage risk including assessing the revenue opportunity vs. cost and risk.

* Manage the commercial viability of variations.

* Lead negotiations encompassing multiple disciplines, including suppliers and sub- contractors negotiations and flow-downs to ensure cost savings to the business.

* Negotiate, on an equitable basis, internally and externally to ensure that the business is not exposed to risk.

* Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring favourable terms for the business.

* Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve commercial objectives.

* Lead in all dispute resolution activity.

* Ensure a contract review and governance framework is embedded on all contracts.

* Deal reactively in mitigation key risk areas as they arise and provide support to Finance and Operations to resolve in a timely manner.

* General contracts management and ensuring the contract appraisal process is administered correctly to protect the company.

* Client liaison and negotiation.

* Produce documents, reports and briefings for management and clients.

* Monthly review of progress and budget of projects.

* Identifying and managing commercial risks within all contracts / sub-contractor orders & LOIs and agree terms to protect the business.

* Provide contractual advice during the tendering process, up until project completion.

* Accounts management / credit control to a high degree of commercial awareness.

* Manage mediation /adjudication claims.
