Social Worker - Safeguarding Service

Salary: Social Worker £39,000 - £40,000 / Senior Social Worker £45,000 - £49,000

Full-Time Hours

Are you a dedicated and resilient social worker looking to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? We are seeking passionate social workers to join our client's Safeguarding team, where your work will be instrumental in supporting children subject to Child Protection and Child in Need plans.

Qualifications:
  • A relevant Social Work qualification
  • Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
  • Active Social Work England registration

  • An effective communicator who works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Confident in applying statutory and regulatory frameworks with knowledge of a range of professional interventions
  • Committed to championing inclusion and diversity
  • Solution-focused with the ability to handle sensitive issues with care
  • Resilient and responsible in managing your caseload

About the Role:
  • Support children and young people with Child Protection and Child in Need plans
  • Transfer cases between the Safeguarding and Permanence teams when appropriate
  • Build strong relationships with families, support networks, and partner agencies
  • Conduct assessments, home visits, and direct work with children, as well as care planning and case recording
  • Ensure the child's voice is heard in all aspects of case management
  • Engage in reflective and group supervision to continually improve practice
