Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed mechanical estimates.

Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to determine project requirements.

Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accuracy.

Utilise value engineering (VE) techniques to optimize cost without compromising quality.

Present cost breakdowns and reports to project managers and clients.

Participate in bid strategy meetings and ensure timely submission of tenders.

Monitor market trends and maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and pricing.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator.

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and systems.

Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Knowledge of value engineering (VE) and its application in mechanical systems.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
