Platform Engineer - Node

Helping more people experience the joy of Music, this product company create musical instruments and platforms through technology that are used by both amateurs and professionals - allowing users to explore their interests and talents in a truly unique way. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be creating performant and robust software for a complex set of web platforms. An ability to ensure the integrity of the database and be confident querying will be valuable. Building RESTful APIs using MongoDB and Node.js, this developer will also need to integrate third party SaaS providers, all within an AWS environment.

You’ll be comfortable with

- RESTful APIs, Node.js and MongoDB

- CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure

- Front end code bases and familiarity with React

- Monitoring companywide infrastructure, stakeholder engagement, sprint planning and retros

- Maintaining code, security measures and reducing technical debt

Bonus points for

- Familiarity with React Native, Unity or Audio Software (such as JUCE)

- Shopify, ecom technology and exposure

Collaborating with a team of Back End, DevOps and Front-End Engineers, the successful applicant will focus purely on Platform work with key responsibilities within the business to enhance the company’s ability to continue providing their unique set of products.
