Senior Financial AnalystLocation: Chelmsford (On-site)Salary: 60-65KAre you a finance professional looking for an opportunity to play a key role in financial strategy and performance analysis? As a senior financial analyst, you will be supporting the Financial Controller with all financial activities related to the business.Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance financial management of customer-funded and private venture projects, ensuring robust project accounting.
• Provide insightful analysis of business performance, identifying opportunities for growth and risk management.
• Support financial and commercial decision-making with a focus on profitability and sustainable growth.
• Assist with periodic financial processes, including journals, reconciliations, forecasting, and annual planning.
• Advise and support on bid preparations to ensure accurate financial projections.
• Lead and manage financial projects as required.
• Ensure adherence to financial controls and procedures, including SOX compliance.

About You:

• CIMA or ACCA qualified with at least 4 years of experience.
• Strong finance business partnering experience, ideally within a manufacturing/engineering/technical environment
• Previous experience in accounting within the Defence sector is advantageous.
• Excellent Excel and data analysis skills with experience in ERP systems (preferably SAP HANA S4).
• Able to work autonomously and as part of an integrated team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive, continuous improvement mindset, adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
• Security Clearance (SC) desirable.
