Role Overview: Claims Administrator
As a Claims Administrator at Keoghs, you’ll play a crucial role in our daily operations. Your responsibilities will include inputting new claims, managing payment packs, and handling critical post activities. You’ll collaborate with various teams, ensuring efficient workflows and timely actions. Additionally, you’ll engage with third-party systems, transfer files, and proactively identify potential litigation risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input New Claims:
- Process incoming claims promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a set time frame for actioning claims.
- Email Management:
- Distribute and act on emails, allocating them to the appropriate skill within the department.
- Create relevant workflows to streamline communication.
- Third-Party Systems:
- Utilize third-party systems to gather relevant information.
- Execute tasks and activities on behalf of the insurer.
- File Transfers:
- Complete requests for file transfers to other areas of the business.
- Risk Identification:
- Identify legal proceedings and notify relevant individuals based on priority and risk assessment.
- Stage 2 Advice:
- Apply appropriate workflows and escalations for Stage 2 advice.
- Communication:
- Communicate with relevant parties to obtain necessary information for claim files.
- Reserve Management:
- Update reserves for insurer clients in accordance with the relevant reserving policy.
- Claims System Updates:
- Maintain accurate liability and indemnity information in Keoghs’ claims management system.
- Fee Management:
- Raise fixed fees through third-party platforms, ensuring compliance with insurer contracts.
- Prioritization:
- Triage and prioritize work based on the risk matrix for each piece of correspondence.
Location: Bolton - hybrid working with only 1 day in the office
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35-hour week
