Leader Education are recruiting a Secondary SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work at a SEND School based in Morpeth. This school caters for children aged 2 to 19 years old. The successful LSA will have a good amount of experienceworking with children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) or have recent relevant transferable skills from a similar role. This school aims to provide a caring, supportive and inclusive environment, which has high expectations and values all members within the school community.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will have:
- An enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
- Knowledge and skills relevant to working with SEND children
- Strong classroom management skills
- An energetic and proactive approach towards supporting the children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of EHCP's
- Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students
- Proficiency in utilising technology for teaching and learning purposes
