Location: GL1 2TG, Hybrid - required to be onsite one day a week

Working hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours per week
Pay rate: £450 - £500 per day PAYE

We are seeking a highly skilled Interim Procurement Business Partner to join our clients team, supporting the Economy, Environment, and Infrastructure portfolio. This senior role focuses on leading complex, high-value procurement's across Facilities Management (FM), transport, and corporate infrastructure contracts. Experience in social care and public health procurement is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a small team, providing guidance and support across a range of high-value procurement projects.
Contribute to the development and implementation of PA23, team guidance, tools, and training initiatives to enhance team performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement activities align with the organisations strategic objectives.
Provide specialist procurement advice on various projects within the Economy, Environment, and Infrastructure portfolio.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Extensive commercial skills and procurement knowledge, with an awareness of emerging best practices.
Proven delivery skills with experience working under tight, pressurised deadlines in complex, matrix-managed organisations.
In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and contract management.
Experience in procurement or commissioning, delivering change and cost savings in complex public or private sector environments.
Skilled in using analytical techniques to turn data into actionable insights for improving value for money.
Experience evaluating costs and using cost reduction techniques to improve outcomes.
Graduate degree or equivalent commercial experience.
