With an established reputation for delivering high-quality projects, this company has a strong pipeline of work and is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all cost-related aspects of retail fitout projects, ensuring they are delivered on budget and meet the high standards expected. You will play a key role in the commercial management of projects, from initial cost planning through to final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparing detailed cost plans and estimates.

* Managing and forecasting project budgets and ensuring value for money.

* Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and procurement strategies.

* Procuring and managing subcontractor packages, including valuations and payments.

* Preparing tender documentation and analyzing submitted tenders.

* Monitoring and managing project variations, changes, and claims.

* Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.

* Managing the preparation and negotiation of final accounts.

* Reporting to senior management and stakeholders on project progress and financial performance.

* Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the retail fitout/construction sector, specifically on full store refurbishments or remodels.

* Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC), and cost control processes.

* Technical Skills: Proficient in using relevant software such as Microsoft Office and cost management tools.

* Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. MRICS or working towards chartered status is highly desirable.

* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

* Organisation: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

* Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving project challenges.

* Driving Licence: Full, clean driving licence (travel to sites may be required).
