Company Overview:
Our Client is currently seeking a highly skilled Structural Steel Package Manager to join our team and oversee both the package management and structural integrity evaluation of steelwork within a station build project. This role has arisen due to significant engineering changes requiring a detailed assessment of installed steel structures and effective coordination of the structural steel package.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of all structural steel installed on the project to ensure it meets the updated engineering specifications.
• Manage the structural steel package, overseeing procurement, logistics, and delivery coordination to support project schedules.
• Identify potential areas of concern where structural failure may occur due to design changes and ensure proactive measures are taken.
• Assess the fitness for purpose of the current structural steelwork, including elements supporting HVAC and other load-bearing systems.
• Develop and recommend remedial actions for areas that require reinforcement or replacement.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that corrective actions are implemented and that the package timeline is met.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met within deadlines and with the highest safety and quality standards.
• Ensure that all work complies with the latest engineering designs and project specifications.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in structural steel management and package management, preferably in large-scale construction or station build projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel specifications, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Ability to identify, analyse, and resolve structural issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in ensuring structural integrity and project safety.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Relevant professional certifications or memberships (e.g., Chartered Engineer status).
• Experience in managing structural steel packages on projects undergoing significant engineering design changes.
