Accelerate Teaching is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Teacher to join a dedicated team at a reputable Special Needs School in Wakefield. This is a fantastic chance to make a significant impact on the lives of young people, starting in September 2024.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional who is committed to supporting children with EBD, helping them overcome their challenges, and guiding them towards a brighter future. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of emotional and behavioural difficulties, coupled with the creativity and resilience needed to engage and inspire students.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of students.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting strategies as necessary.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies and procedures.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in EBD education.Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with EBD and strategies to support their learning and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
