Join our client, Mellors, as an Area Support Manager and play a vital role in managing school catering units across Manchester, Lancaster, Bolton and Bradford areas. As an Area Support Manager, you will work closely with the Area Manager, providing relief and support to ensure the smooth running of operations.

The Key Requirements:
- Assist the Catering Manager in managing catering units
- Provide relief for Catering Managers who are on holiday or off sick, ensuring the provision of full catering, vending, and extensive hospitality services
- Conduct disciplinary investigations as necessary
- Act as an ambassador for our client, promoting a positive image at all times
- Assist with the training and development of employees
- Manage teams, including performance management, training and development, absence management, and disciplinary action if required
- Support the training of managers to help them achieve budgets and other company targets
- Develop and maintain professional client relationships, ensuring client demands are met and exceeded
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Adhere to existing and new working practises, methods, and procedures
- Assist with stocktaking and conduct unit audits when required
- Complete all necessary unit paperwork to company standards
- Keep track of working hours by completing timesheets
- Meet company deadlines while working at any contract
- Induct and train new staff members
- Participate in ongoing training and development
- Carry out ad hoc duties as directed by the Area Manager
- Recommend operational efficiencies and improvements
- Full driving license and own vehicle
From time to time, the company may ask you to work outside of your usual location and working hours. Therefore, flexibility is a must for this role. You will also be expected to work at weekends from time to time when covering B&I units or for special functions/occasions.
