Salary: £36,000 - £44,000 per annum

Sheridan Maine is partnering with a leading manufacturing business based in Hedge End to recruit for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join their team.Hybrid working is available, of up to 2 days per week.  You must be able to attend the office near Southampton 3 days per week.The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial analysis and delivering data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. This role involves working closely with various teams to optimise financial performance and contribute to the success of the business. Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst will include:
  • Perform detailed financial analysis and reporting to assist management in key decision-making.
  • Use of tools such as Power BI, and Excel to extract, manipulate, and analyse financial data.
  • Effectively communicate financial insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Product cost estimating, tracking, variance analysis including new product introduction process
  • Investment analysis for new products and significant capital projects
  • Inventory reconciliation, reporting and analysis
  • Collaborating and building strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and senior leaders
  • Reviewing and challenging overhead cost performance
  • Calculation of internal recovery rates and cost allocations
  • Support the month-end close processes
  • Assist with ad hoc strategic and operational projects 
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar analytical role -  this is a key requirement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and use of advanced data visualization tools including Power BI
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing organisation would be beneficial
