The Role

We are looking for an inspiring and passionate Music Teacher to join our highly supportive and collaborative Arts department. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality music lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with the opportunity to contribute to our thriving extra-curricular music program.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and stimulating music lessons.
Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that motivates students.
Develop students' musical skills, including performance, composition, and appreciation.
Organize and participate in concerts, school performances, and other music-related events.
Provide tailored support to students of all abilities to help them achieve their full potential.
Encourage a love of music and promote the subject within the school community.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and clubs.

Person Specification

Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Music or a related field.
Experience teaching Music at secondary school level (Key Stages 3, 4, and 5).
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to inspire and engage students with a love for music.
Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
Desirable:

Experience in delivering GCSE and A-Level Music.
Proficiency in a range of musical instruments.
Experience in organizing school concerts and musical productions.
Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school (you do not have to be Catholic but must be respectful of the school's values).
