Solar Electrician - Commercial and Industrial Solar
£30,000 - £38,000
Leeds - will require national travel at time

About the role:
Astute's Renewables Team is proudly partnering with an ambitious, motivated and growing business in the UK's Solar sector. They're a dynamic, forward-thinking and proactive business who have strategic and realistic plans to make significant waves in the UK's commercial and industrial solar space.

This Solar Electrician / Electrician role comes with a starting salary of circa £38,000 plus overnight allowances, mileage covered and ongoing development.

Responsibilities and duties:

Assisting the leading electrician in installing full solar PV systems in the commercial and industrial environment
Coordinating with the mechanical team to ensure perfect cable management and penetration sealing
Assisting the mechanical side of the project with the racking for the panels
Ensuring perfect health and safety practices on site
Installing systems from a size of 20kw at the very smallest to (up to) 1MW at the very highest
Helping to wire, test and complete the systems
Assisting with any communication with the client on site, deputising for the Lead Electrician when they aren't there
Travelling outside of area for business need, spending up to a week away at a time if absolutely necessary (with nightly allowances if this is the case)
Other duties as requiredProfessional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

Level 3 in electrical installation
Working towards test and inspection 2391, or at least the desire to do so
Ideally working towards AM2 and ECS Gold card
Any solar experience is a huge preference
UK driving licencePersonal skills:
