• Oversee daily operations, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Manage the budget and control expenses effectively.
• Produce and manage reports and records with precision.
• Deliver operational training and act as a point of escalation.
• Keep senior management informed with summaries of team activities and metrics.
• Uphold and enforce Health and Safety policies.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure timely repairs of units.
• Drive team performance and development with regular reviews.
• Step in for the Depot Manager as needed.
• Focus on maximising operational efficiency and revenue growth.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• 3-5 years’ experience in empty container depot operations.
• Proven track record in a similar role with P&L responsibility.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and P&L management.
• Familiarity with container equipment standards.
• IOSH or NEBOSH certification is advantageous.
• Valid driving license.
• ECH certification is preferred; training can be provided.
• Solid understanding of M&R operations.
• Experience in team development and motivation.
• Ability to manage operations in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Efficient under pressure with a knack for strategy and project oversight.
