Our client, a leading company in the HTP sector, is currently seeking a Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis for the A66 Highways upgrade works in the Bowes Area within the Cumbria border. This role involves working on essential upgrades and ensuring smooth and safe operations on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering Start of Shift briefings to the team to ensure clear understanding of daily tasks and safety procedures
Checking and signing off Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to maintain high safety standards
Issuing permits for breaking ground and hot works to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Coordinating with the team and other stakeholders for effective project execution
Inspecting work progress and ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety guidelines
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to site activities
Providing solutions and making decisions independently to overcome site challenges
Communicating effectively with the team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project success

Job Requirements:

Experience in a supervisory role within the civils sector
Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices related to highways and construction works
Ability to deliver effective Start of Shift briefings and communicate clearly with the team
Proficiency in checking and signing off RAMS
Capability to issue permits for breaking ground and hot works
Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or a related field
