Position: Ocean Import Operator

Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester

Salary: Up to £33,000

We seek an Ocean Import Account Manager to join their Retail team based in Manchester and provide exceptional service to nominated clients.

Your key responsibilities as Ocean Import Operator:

Provide an exceptional level of service to all customers.
Manage and oversee the import process for sea freight shipments from origin to delivery
Quote clients and negotiate rates with suppliers to optimise cost-effectiveness for clients
Monitor shipments and update clients
Prepare customs documents for the customs department
Liaise with suppliers and hauliers ensuring smooth delivery and monitor shipments to update clients regarding any delay
Invoice and cost files to ensure correct profit margin.
Visit clients with the sales team and help build strong relationships

Requirements:

End to end Ocean Freight Operations knowledge
Working knowledge of the International freight forwarding industry.
Be able to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and your wider team
Have a keen attention to detail
Develop trust and respect from colleagues & clients
Identify problems early & respond in a timely fashion
A proactive and professional persona
