HGV Class 1 Night Driver

The above salaries range from one shift to five shifts per week across the year.
Due to the continued increase in driver requirements from our largest customer, Ultimate Workforce Ltd are now searching for several Class 1 General Haulage Night Drivers for long term regular work, with an immediate start. You will be running mainly out of Wisbech, however some travel to the March depot may be required from time to time. If so, we will subsidise travel (T&C's apply)
Start times can be adjusted to suit individual circumstances, but will typically start from 15:00 onwards.
Main Duties:
* Carry out daily walk around vehicle checks and using the pre-drive app
* Inspect and ensure that load safe and secure before leaving the depot
* Drive company vehicle in accordance with company and Highway regulations
* Deliver load(s) in a safe and timely manner, and communicate delays to Transport office
* Ensure that driver hours are correctly inputted in accordance with EU Tachograph Regulations
* Re-fuel vehicle before the end of every shift
* Maintain cleanliness of cab at all times
* Maintain a clean cab at all times
Essential Requirements:
* Current UK Driving Licence, Digi & CPC Card
* Maximum 6 points (No DD or DR's)
* Proven minimum 6 months' commercial driving experience
* Reliable and punctual
* Sound understanding of the English language
* Excellent knowledge of EU Tachograph and working hours
* Provide good customer service and maintain a professional standard at all times
* Excellent communication skills
Preferrable Requirements:
* Container experience with in date port cards
Hours:
Working from 1 to 5 nights per week (depending on driver availability), starting on a Thursday night anywhere from 15:00 to 20:00, with a typical 10-12 hour shift expected.
As part of the onboarding process, a short driving assessment will be required before any offer of work is made. Part of the assessment will be to test a driver's Tachograph knowledge, so it's essential to have a sound understanding of EU Tachograph Regulations before applying.
