📍 Location: Summerfield, Kidderminster
🕒 Hours: 37hrs/week (Mon-Thurs: 07:30-15:30, Fri: 07:30-14:30)

Shorterm Group is working with a leading engineering organisation currently delivering a high-profile new facility. As part of this major development, we are recruiting a skilled Process Safety Advisor to join the Future Factory project team, focusing on the safe handling and processing of energetic materials.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about process safety, compliance, and innovation in high-hazard environments.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage process safety activities for a large-scale future-focused manufacturing project
- Provide expert input on UK legal requirements for hazardous materials handling and process design
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, HAZOP, PFMEA, LOPA, and other hazard analyses
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to align safety strategies with project objectives
- Develop and implement robust process safety management systems in line with UK regulations
- Support the preparation of COMAH safety reports and explosive licence submissions
- Liaise with site SHE management to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards

🎓 Required Qualifications & Experience

Essential:
- HNC/HND or higher in science or engineering
- Experience working in high-hazard industries (preferably explosives or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of the Explosive Regulations 2014 (HSE Publication L150)
- Practical experience with Process Hazard Analysis techniques (HAZOP, PFMEA, LOPA)

Desirable:
- Degree in science or engineering
- NEBOSH Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Upper Tier COMAH sites
- Familiarity with explosives licensing requirements
- Working toward or holding Chartered status
