Senior Technical Data Consultant

Senior Technical Data Consultant required by a leading boutique data strategy consultancy that specialises in data-driven transformation.

The role

This consultancy is seeking a Senior Technical Data Consultant who can bring a blend of strategic data consulting and hands-on data analytics/engineering experience to join their practice.

In this client-facing role you will lead data change initiatives on a range of exciting and complex projects. If you can read a client's situation, assess competing priorities and help them make sustainable changes to their ways of working with data, then this is for you!

This is a varied and interesting role where you will utilise your hands-on technical data skills to help harness solutions and solve problems.  You will need to bring a broad knowledge of data-leveraging tools, hands-on skills (data migration and integration, SQL, Azure, etc.) and excellent communication skills to engage with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

Building data and insight solutions on data platforms
Implementing Technical solutions for customers in a variety of different data tools and platforms
Consulting on solution architecture, approach, and technologies for our clients
Technical Project Delivery
Writing code and building solutions
Managing junior consultants to deliver projects

What do you need?

To be considered you will bring demonstrable hands-on experience with data engineering, having led or at least played a key role in delivery projects.

You will be experienced in designing solutions, not just writing the code/developing and ideally you will have experience from a client facing, consultancy environment where you can evidence success on a range of different client engagements, both technical and strategic.

You must have strong skills in SQL and data modelling and a knowledge of general IT architecture and systems integration.  You will also possess skills in other technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, RedShift, Informatica, Oracle, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik or similar and will be keen and open minded to learn new skills.

A self-starter, you will bring a real passion for data and must have excellent communication and presentation skills up to senior level, becoming a trusted advisor and building strong client relationships.

What is on offer?

In terms of package, there is a competitive salary on offer depending on your level of experience, plus an excellent benefits package including a quarterly bonus. This company has a collaborative culture and an open promotion policy making it a true meritocracy. If you want to take your career in Data to the next level, then apply NOW.

This is a hybrid role that offers a lot of flexibility to work remotely but visits to the office in London are required 1-2 times per week (as well as occasional visits to the office in Surrey).
