My client is looking to recruit an M&A Director into their wider corporate finance team, to ensure their ambitious growth plans continue to prosper.
This role offers a clear progression to Partnership within the firm.
What you will be doing as an M&A Director
- Lead and manage M&A transactions, overseeing the entire deal cycle from origination to completion.
- Focus on transactions between £10m-£80m, working primarily with owner-managed businesses across various sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing high-level strategic advice and tailored solutions.
- Lead negotiations, structuring deals, and driving value throughout the deal process.
- Manage and mentor a team, providing guidance and oversight to junior staff on transaction work and client management.
- Work closely with clients to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and deliver value-added solutions that meet their business objectives.
What you will need to succeed as an M&A Director
- Proven track record in M&A, ideally within a corporate finance or accountancy practice.
- Experience in working with owner-managed businesses is highly desirable.
- Experience in media, TMT (Technology, Media & Telecoms), or similar high-growth sectors would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a focus on providing strategic advice to clients.
- While corporate finance and accountancy practice experience is preferred, the firm is open to candidates with relevant M&A experience from other backgrounds.
