Electrical and Control Project Manager

Our client, a market-leading UK manufacturing company, is seeking a Electrical and Control Project Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-value engineering projects from inception to completion, playing a key role in shaping and delivering complex site-based projects. If you have a strong technical background in electrical and control systems and thrive in a dynamic, hands-on role, we want to hear from you.

Reporting to the Project and Portfolio Manager, you will take full ownership of the electrical and control engineering aspects of multiple projects. You'll engage closely with stakeholders, from design through to commissioning, to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of time, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project delivery, focusing on electrical and control engineering elements.
Manage project design, specification, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Select and oversee contractors to ensure project resources align with requirements.
Develop and maintain a robust project schedule, managing financial and commercial aspects for optimal project outcomes.
Ensure rigorous adherence to corporate project governance, managing risk and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Lead P&ID reviews, HAZOP studies, and set standards for site acceptance tests of electrical and control systems.
Key Skills & Experience Required

Degree (B.Eng Hons) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven project management experience
Strong understanding of capital systems and experience with contractor management.
Health and Safety awareness (NEBOSH General Certificate is advantageous).
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
