Overview

Planet Fitness continues its exciting growth trajectory, and this growth unlocks the need to place within the Digital Technology and Transformation Team a Big Data and BI Manager. This role will focus on integrating various systems; building and maintaining Planet Fitness's big data warehouse; designing and creating master data records; designing and implementing intelligence reporting; and designing and maintaining Planet Fitness's data, system and integration architectures.

Seniority and Reporting Structure

This role is mid management role and will report into the Chief/Head of Digital Transformation. It will be responsible for leading a team.

Work Break Down Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for the following job functions:

1. Systems Integration and Architecture (15%)

• Designing (where applicable), maintaining and updating all system architectures
• Designing, maintaining and proposing integration architectures and strategies
• Designing, maintaining and proposing database and warehouse architectures and strategies
• Defining and implementing integration data structures, extract, transform and load tools, widgets and application interfaces.

1. Database, Warehouse and Master Data Management (40%)

• Designing, building and maintaining a Planet Fitness database warehouse
• Designing, building and maintaining analytical services and cubes
• Designing, building and maintaining a meta data layer/schema
• Designing, building and maintaining lead and member master data records

1. Intelligence & Knowledge Reporting (15%)

• Lead and manage analysts and report designers
• Design and implement with the team dashboards, drill-into and various critical business reports
• Formulate single views of multiple data sources and data feeds through intelligence and knowledge reports
• Build loss prevention intelligence
• Consolidate the plethora of digital sources i.e. Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Website clicks, etc to derive marketing intelligence and reporting

1. Project Management (20%)

• Plan, scope and execute large transformational projects
• Budget and cost large transformational projects
• Deliver projects on time and in scope
• Partner cross functionally to deliver successful projects

1. Vendor and Team Management (10%)

• Manage and drive accountability with software, database and implementation partners/vendors
• Lead the team to ensure delivery of all KPI's and planned results
• Grow, nurture and develop talent by sharing knowledge, technical skill and expertise

Experience and Exposure

The following minimum experience and exposure is needed for this role:

1. Ten (10) years experience working with Extract, Transform and Load tools likes Microsoft's SSIS
2. Ten (10) years experience working with Analytical/Meta Data Schema's and Structures which must include Microsoft's SSAS
3. Ten (10) years experience working with (implementation and maintenance) Microsoft's SQL Server including warehousing
4. Experience integrating  various datasources i.e. MySQL, XML files, Google BigQuery, Google Analytics, etc.
5. Experience and exposure with any of the following or all of the following products Tableau, Power BI, Microsstrategy and Qlik
6. Experience with market basket analysis, sales analysis, loss prevention, digital (world of social and clicks) reporting
