The Hawk & Dove is a former flagship Wards Managed House, built in 1981. This large detached brick-built property is situated in the heart of Waterthorpe, Sheffield, and is conveniently close to the Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre.

The pub enjoys a strong local trade from nearby residents, who frequent the establishment. Additionally, members of a local baseball club often visit for drinks. The Hawk & Dove primarily caters to a wet-led crowd, with a popular entertainment offering. The public bar features a darts board, pool table, and a TV screen for sports viewing.

Exciting changes are on the horizon! There are plans for a full internal refurbishment of all trading areas, including new fixtures and fittings. This revamp will help re-launch the business, along with the introduction of a bar-food menu. An external redecoration has already taken place, complete with updated signage and lighting.

Regional Manager's Thoughts

The pub benefits from a strong local following who have been the mainstay of this pub for many years who enjoy the entertainment and drinks offer. We believe with some investment we can develop the pub to attract more local customers as well as those visiting the area throughout the week and on weekends. Our plan would be to increase opening hours and introduce a simple pub-food solution to compliment the strong wet-led trade. I am now looking for publican who has the knowledge of running a community pub who can integrate with the locals to develop the pub to continue and grow trade.
