Finance Accounting Specialist - Interim 6 month+ Slough - £35-38k equivalent (Inside IR35)

For an experienced AP/AR specialist with month-end activity experience, this is an opportunity to join a small team responsible for delivering local and statutory reporting for a key brand within the group.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Accounting Specialist to join a fast-paced, collaborative team. This role offers a balanced mix of 50% Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) responsibilities, along with 50% month-end reporting and financial management duties. Role:

The Finance Accounting Specialist will play a key role in supporting both the AP/AR functions and the month-end financial reporting processes. You will manage invoice processing, customer accounts allocation, and intercompany reporting, while also contributing to the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results. The role also involves continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

AP/AR Activities (50%)

  • Support the Accounts Payable function, including processing invoices and managing purchase orders.
  • Oversee key Accounts Receivable functions, including customer account allocation and reconciliation.
  • Assist in intercompany and related party reporting, ensuring full monthly reconciliation of balances.
  • Liaise with the Treasury Department on intercompany loans and derivatives reporting.

Month-End Activities (50%)

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for local management.
  • Manage selective balance sheet reconciliations and contribute to quarterly reporting.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting and management information as needed.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives within the Finance team, working towards greater efficiency and accuracy in reporting.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be part-qualified in CIMA/ACA/ACCA with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
