Our Client, a highly respected and growing law firm, is seeking dedicated and experienced
Prison Law Solicitors to join their expanding prison law department. With offices across multiple locations, this role provides an exciting opportunity to handle a diverse caseload and contribute to the growth of the department.Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of prison law matters, including parole hearings, adjudications, re-categorisation applications, licence recalls, and judicial reviews.
- Providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients on all prison law matters.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of changes in prison law legislation and ensuring compliance with relevant legal standards.
- Regularly attending prisons, hearings, and providing in-person consultations with clients.
- Liaising with other legal professionals, clients, and external agencies.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring a high standard of client care.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ PQE in Prison Law, including experience in managing a full caseload independently.
- Proficiency in legal aid funding processes and prison law-specific regulations.
- Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A current driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
- Willingness to travel to different locations and attend prisons as required.
