Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a 12 to 15-month assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment while providing support to our operations team.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing contracts and agreements with suppliers and sub-contractors, ensuring the commercial management and administration of contracts, and supporting the delivery of the organization's long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers and sub-contractors.

* Administer the commercial aspects of the contract, ensuring effective cost control and performance monitoring.

* Monitor and report on monthly spending against the package budget.

* Evaluate potential claims from contractors and suppliers and provide suitable recommendations.

* Prepare orders and instructions for contractors or suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

* Oversee additional works processes to identify and capture items exceeding the contract's limit of liability.

* Provide insights and drive profitable growth, supporting the achievement of organizational goals.

* Offer contractual support to the operations team and address commercial implications of non-performance.

* Maintain and enforce policies, procedures, and governance to manage commercial risk.

* Lead contractual negotiations in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team.

* Work closely with the procurement team to enhance and onboard new suppliers.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a construction or similar industry.

* Strong knowledge of contract management, commercial risk management, and cost control processes.

* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex contracts.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

* Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.

* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

* Experience in working with procurement teams and onboarding new suppliers.

* A DBS check is required for this role.
