Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for building services? This dynamic and growing team based near Chelmsford are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-quality mechanical engineering solutions for a diverse range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering aspects of building services projects from concept to completion.
• Work closely with other disciplines to ensure integrated design and project success.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and teams.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, standards, and best practices.

Skills and Experience required for the principal mechanical engineer role:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Chartered status is a plus).
• Proven experience in building services engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building regulations, and sustainability practices.
• Experience in project management and client-facing roles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Live in or near to Chelmsford.
