Salary: £40000 - £45000/annum bonus and 20 days holiday

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with regulatory and management system requirements, manage non-conformance safely to minimize customer disruption, and drive business benefits by achieving Zero Defects. The role focuses on maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Qualifications/Education:
- Minimum of an Apprenticeship level education in a technical engineering discipline.
Experience:
- Operational Quality role experience.
- Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrable business acumen in quality, improvement, manufacturing, and HSE activities.
- Knowledge and application of Quality and BI tools, such as 8D investigation and improvement methodologies.
- Ability to coach and mentor others.
- Strong customer focus.
- Previous experience as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer is beneficial.
- Experience with LEAN or Six Sigma is advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive quality culture and improvement within the organization.
- Support manufacturing facilities in implementing processes to prevent non-conformance.
- Conduct product audits across multiple production stages to meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform Good In inspections.
- Raise credits and return notes for non-conforming materials.
- Conduct End of Line audits and operational testing of Doorsets.
- Ensure customer specifications and expectations are met.
- Implement improvements in quality standards to ensure repeatable performance.
- Conduct defect feedback and problem-solving activities.
- Escalate quality concerns efficiently.
- Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Partners to prevent defects and analyze non-quality causes.
- Share best practices for managing non-conformance across the organization.
- Coach and support problem-solving within manufacturing operations and the external supply chain.
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).

The Quality Engineer reports to the Head of Operations and is a key member of the Operations Team.
