Responsibilities:

Safely operating a Class 1 HGV. Transporting goods to and from the ports, including Felixstowe, which is one of the largest container ports in the UK.

Compliance:

Adhering to all road traffic regulations and company policies.
Ensuring compliance with driving hours and rest period regulations (EU Tachograph rules).
Load Management:

Properly securing loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
Loading and unloading cargo, potentially including containers, which may involve using lifting equipment.
Documentation:

Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, vehicle checks, and any incidents.
Completing relevant paperwork for customs and goods delivery.
Vehicle Maintenance:

Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Reporting any vehicle defects or issues for repair.

Requirements:

Licences:

A valid Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

Experience:
