Salary: £28 - £32/hour

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the mechanical installations for a new build residential project. As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the project by supervising the mechanical trades on-site, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards, and managing health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise and coordinate mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and associated systems) for a new build residential development.

* Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations.

* Monitor daily work activities, ensuring quality control and productivity.

* Provide leadership and guidance to the mechanical team, including subcontractors.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments as required.

* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and timely project delivery.

* Monitor progress, report on any delays or issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

* Conduct inspections and provide feedback on the quality of work and adherence to design plans.

* Ensure all necessary tools, materials, and resources are available for the mechanical team.

* Maintain accurate site records and reports, including work schedules, progress, and issues.

Key Requirements:

* CSCS Card

* SSSTS / SMSTS

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction or residential sector.

* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in residential builds (HVAC, plumbing, heating, etc.).

* Excellent leadership and team management skills.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.

* Good understanding of health and safety regulations and site safety management.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.

* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field (HNC, HND, or equivalent).
